Spotify stopped working on my mibox s

When i click on a song it either does nothing or it looks like playing it but no sound comes out and i cant play, pause or skip the track. Sometimes i click on one song and the song i tried to play previously seems to start, again with no audio and with the play/pause and skip track not working.

I've tried restarting my TV box, updated the app and even unplugged my TV box from the wall but no luck so far, ive also tried logging off and logging back in on the TV and tried playing the song remotely from my phone but when i do that i get an error saying unable to connect to the device.

After posting this i went on to reset my mibox, erasing all data, the bug still persists

Edit: Chromecast works for me for now, thank y'all for recommending that.

I am having the same issue on my nvidia shield. I've tried uninstalling and then casting to the TV and it instantly crashes.

It would appear a lot of people are having the same issue. I am as well, Android TV on a Sony TV.

Edit: Solution I found was to uninstall the app and then just cast to the tv. It won't try to use the app if you do that.

Same issue, haven't tried uninstalling the Spotify app from the TV yet but will do. It's weird, was working perfectly up until yesterday...

Edit: uninstalled app and just Chrome cast to the TV instead. You lose the functionality of being able to do stuff on the TV app but at least it works

You can play music only with Chromecast ability, I do this since yesterday for now
