Both Mi Box 3 and Mi Box S have the same hardware, yet only S is able to play GeForce Now smoothly. The only difference between these is that S has Android 9. Why does Pie make GFN work while Oreo drops frames like hell?

While they have the same paper specs, I suspect that the S has either minor hardware tweaks or firmware fixes that the 3 never got. The S has always been a tad smoother in my experience. I don’t expect they will backport any fixes from the S to the 3 given that it’s been a couple years.
