Is there a way to set up a pin or password for my TCL 50 inch Android TV? I'm able to change the pin from the settings but it doesn't affect the Android TV interface.
Problem is theft is very common where I'm from. I've been burgled once and two of my TVs were taken so I'd like to be able to make it redundant for a possible burglar.
If you set the pin form settings, I'm still able to reset the TV from Android and it requires the default 1234 pin to reset and not my changed password from the settings.
Any help will be most welcome
I don't mean to use sarcasm here, as that sucks, but I don't think that you can create a pin that will prevent your TV from being physically taken from your home?
I believe the PIN is to protect some settings changes, or maybe specific app content like from younger family members? Not many people want to enter a code every time they turn on the tube, so I am not sure I see that coming. I think you might just want to lock the TV to the floor haha.
