Got The Mi Box S (Indian Variant)

Just got the Mi Box S in India. Any interesting ideas to improve the user experience and a good way to stream local media (apart from Plex)? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

If you don't want to use Plex, this is what I did: create a shared network folder on windows, install Solid Explorer on Mi Box (Mi TV in my case) and create an SMB connection through Solid. Stream all the content you want.

  1. Mouse toggle
  2. Kodi

Sideload any steaming app

  1. Jio Tv
  2. Airtel Extreme

Basically any app you use on phone for streaming. Enjoy on streaming content on tv without any issue. If latest version won't work, try older of apps.

If you have external storage connected to the Mi Box I would suggest Kodi.

Otherwise just use Plex Media Server to make that media available.
