How to connect to bluetooth device without unpairing and re-pairing every time?

by n3cr0ph4g1st

I have a xiaomi mi tv 4s with a bluetooth soundbar. Every time i turn on the soundbar, then the tv and it doesnt automatically connect. I go to the device and accessory settings, it shows the previously paired soundbar but i can't click on it to get it to connect, it only gives me "unpair" and "rename". So every time I have to unpair and then add an accessory again....Am I missing something on how to manually select an item to connect to?

Why are you connecting a tv to a sound bar over Bluetooth? That's not how you do it

Same thing happening to me

I think it's a problem with the operating system, but strangely, you can reconnect bluetooth gamepads without pairing every single time.

It happens if you have used your headphones with another device. Do a test, re-pair and connect the headphones then turn them off. Give them a sec then turn them on and see if they auto connect. I had the same issue but zince I havent repaired them to another device they auto connect.

It is an issue with the Android TV version, had it on my iFFalcon tv too, but this has been fixed in the latest version of Android TV, you’ll have to wait until Xiaomi shows mercy and provides an update

Having the same annoying problem, bought a xiaomi mi box s and an earfun uboom for my mom, the BT 5.0 works superb there is no lag at all!!, problem is my mom wants to use the speaker on the house with her phone by day and watch a movie on the night, the fact you have to do the pairing process over and over have got me upsidedown, I dont want to root the box since it's for my mom but doing the process over and over is ridiculous instead of just hit reconect like in phones with the speaker, hope xiaomi get this fix
