I gave up on my Phillips Android TV and plugged a roku into it. I had a constant issue with video freezing up. Try casting a video from YouTube, never made it through a single one without freezing. No prime. Maybe I got a bum TV.

There is no supported app for the philips 5604 for Prime Video. I normally just have to deal with casting from my phone, but I will warn you, i have a 5604 and I've had to factory reset it a few times and make sure i keep the internal storage as cleaned up as possible with decent free space to keep this TV running smoothly. Its not bad for the price, but will however give you trouble from time to time.

If casting isn't something you'd want to do, sideloading may be possible or even just buy a cheap firestick. Other than that, I doubt they will come out with a prime video app to support the 5604.

Try sideloading it

Forgive me if it's too obvious, but have you updated to the latest version of android on the TV? I'd check that, and then check for app updates before you look at anything else.

Failing that, a factory reset could be the way to go

Side loading the APK is the only way if it's not available on Play Store. Things to consider, Even with side loading the App may not work if not supported. I faced the same issue with Netflix on OnePlus TV until it was officially supported. In that case you can use the browser to watch Prime Video... Do note that some browsers needs mouse for navigation. Hope his helps.

Check for it in the Phillips app gallery instead, my last Phillips to couldn't install it via Google play, but it was available in the app gallery. :)

It's available in my app store, and it's working ok. Some content won't play, but when I cast it using Chromecast built-in the content works fine, seems to be the older shows though. New prime video contents seems to work fine on the app. I have the Philips 7303.
