Hi, i just upgraded my tv box Mecool KM8 to newest firmware but i cant pass remote pairing. I lost my oryginal remote and using spare USB one. It recodnize it becouse i can use volume up, down and switch it off but holding - and ok button doesnt work. Any idea? : (
Pair your phone with it. Once your phone is paired with the box you can get passed the screen and use the remote with the USB dongle. You can unpair your phone at that point and no longer require to repair until you do factory reset again.
What firmware did you install?
You don't need to use any app. Just pair the box with your smartphone the way you pair Bluetooth earbuds with your smart phone and you should be able to get passed the screen.
Looks like a problem with the Bluetooth driver on the box.

I too would like to know this... Not because I've lost my remote, but because I use my TV's remote via the HDMI CEC protocol. In order to prevent the Bluetooth pairing message, I have to keep batteries in the android remote.
I was able to dismiss the request to pair by pressing the back button on my TV's remote. This would likely only help you if you have CEC enabled and are able to use your tv remote.
Hopefully a better answer may come along
