You should be able to link the Vizio soundbar to the TV so that adjusting the volume of the TV is adjusting the volume of the soundbar. Essentially you change the settings to output sound from the soundbar instead of the TV speakers.

With that, the Shield TV remote will control all.

I have a Caavo that's a hdmi switcher and remote so I have my ps4, shield tv, and a ps2 connected to my LG tv. The remote can control the volume, turn on the ps4 or shield tv with the tv, and can launch apps from a shortcut in the Caavo menu. I found it way more reliable than the Logitech harmony remote since I have had so many issues with that and it was cheaper than the Harmony as well.

Sofabaton U1 remote is like Logitech minus the hub

All for one remote plus a Flirc unless you have a 2015 shield. I control my shield, tv, and Vizio soundbar.

You should be connecting your Shield HDMI to Vizio soundbar and then to TCL TV.

Another option is to get a Sideclick remote . It clips onto your Shield remote and has multiple programmable buttons.

For me, my Vizio soundbar doesn't always pick up audio if I FF too far in the Plex app. I have to turn off the speaker and turn it back on so I needed 2 programmable buttons.

And in the bedroom, I like to fall asleep to the TV so I have a button programmed to set the sleep timer.

The optimal remote for me would be the G20 with 3 programmable buttons. The layout of the G20 is great, but I just need more programmable buttons.
