I think the Settings logo is changed
I noticed Spotify (played over the integrated Chromecast) now keeps playing in the background when I open the home menu
How do I get that purple-like background? Mine is all black.
Good question. Hopefully 9to5Google or Android Police does some teardown of the APK to find what's new.
With the new ability to add Android TV to speaker groups, and rumours for months of a new Android TV dongle (in Chromecast-like form) - maybe they are gearing up for new hardware and new software releases for Android TV.
Let's hope so!, cos my 2016 Sony Android TV is now on Oreo, and so is my Nexus Player. Hopefully a Google Chromecast-like device will bring the latest Android 10 :)
Nothing visual is new.
My brand new Phillip's Android TV I got 2 weeks ago has no Amazon Prime video app... and casting option from inside the phone Amazon Prime video is absolute trash and stops after 20 minutes of anything. My buddy had his TV update and it got the prime video app so idk; fingers crossed it will show up on my TV one day with an update.
New Youtube channels showed up on my home screen that I had to go in and turn off.
Nothing else looked new to me.
Oh wait man. Got a device link code and then rebooted and after some error messages and a reboot it appears to be working! Thank man good idea!
What I really want to see is the WiFi icon next to the cog, just like OnePlus TV does currently.
