A few months back..maybe last fall I bought a TCL UnionTV version 9. Mostly just got it for the built in chromecast and netflix. When I got it, it had a really nice menu, well nicer, than what is there now. The old menu when I pressed home was a grey color, and included a "channel" or section in amongst the other channels that allowed you to select which HDMI input you wanted, etc. Recently there must have been an update or something, because the menu is now a reddish color, and this is gone.

It now has to be accessed via another button. Also, I can't really seem to find any controls for the chromecast any longer. The chromecast had actually disappeared, so I was looking for a menu item to check it's status, but I couldn't find anything anywhere. I eventually ended up doing a manual restart, but it still wouldn't come back. I had the TV connected via ethernet, the wifi is configured (it used to be wifi only). I had to disconnect the ethernet and finally the chromecast came back.

Anyone know much about these TVs? The specific model is the TCL 40S6500
