What do you use to cast videos via DLNA?

by Aptul

I don't have miracast in my android tv, so I cast videos from the Web via DLNA, I use QuickCast on my android and I haven't found any problem, however I am currently missing a desktop alternative for it, I have tried vGet for chrome, but is not always working, suggest me something better please

VLC? https://shaleenjain.com/blog/vlc-dlna-support-2/

Also if you install Airpin or Air Receiver you will use any desktop player that supports AirPlay.

Plex it's completely free on TV although to cast anything to mobile you need to pay

It can basically stream.anything from your PC or laptop to your TV. Even HDR 4k.blurays although my TV only has a 100mbit connection (fuck you Sony). Thankfully most HDR 4k files are below 30gb and work perfectly fine even with just 100mbit instead of a gigabit

Universal Media Server or Kodi can both do that.

Serviio is a fantastic free DLNA server. I would however highly recommend Plex
