VPN on Android TV?

by clackclackbitch

Hi, I'm planning to buy an Android TV for my bedroom. Since I'm not familiar with this stuff (never used one before, not even my family member has one), I want to ask if I can install VPN for Android TV. I want to use it to watch Netflix but sadly it's blocked by my provider (I live in Indonesia and there's one provider that blocks the user from accessing Netflix). Thank you!

Checkout r/NetflixViaVPN for advice on best VPN for getting around geo-locks. When you find one you like the sound of go to their website and see if they have an Android TV app.

First off, you’ll need a VPN account. Then the most pragmatic way to use a VPN with your Android TV is you can use a VPN in conjunction with your Wi-Fi wireless internet route.
You change your IP, surpass content restrictions and stream Netflix every time:)

If your VPN client support Android TV, it will work. You can sideload the APK to try.

I use surfshark, On my phone the internet speed drops by 5-10 Mbps when connected to the fastest server but on my android tv id drops by 70 Mbps which is very frustrating i can't watch movies properly with 7mbps downloadspeed.

If you want to unblock Netflix via a free VPN, you could get a ban. When your connection is lost for a few minutes, it is enough to detect your location. No free VPN offers a complete, safe, high-quality service without limitations. I’m using VeePN for online streaming restricted content, torrenting and gaming for a low price.
