Hey All
I'm thinking of buying an android tv device, as far as I can see the two recommend devices are Mi Box and Nvidia Shield.
But my question is which one has better software support on bug fixes and OS upgrades?

The Shield of you don't mind the price. My 2015 Shield is still getting updated.
Nvidia shield. I think that the 2013 version is still getting updates.

Still it's so much more expensive :O. So just think if it's worth the extra price or not.. You can buy like 5 mi box for 1 shield
Depends on how much money you want to spend really and how demanding you are.
Both have had regular Firmware updates over the last 2 -5 years. But the Shield does get better overall support.
The Mi Box S for example just this week has gotten another Bug Fixing FW update:

The FireTV Stick 4K also gets pretty good FW support from Amazon.
The shield mate still gets updates to this date even tho they got new shield out 👍🏾
