What other free apps do you recommend?

So I've downloaded Pluto TV and that works nice and stable. Tubi is also very smooth. But Crackle for some reason is slow to navigate and I don't like the overall feel of it. Are there any other good free Android TV apps from the official play store to watch free movies/tv shows?

Only legal suggestions please. No piracy.

Xumo is another free movies/tv service and it recently added Live Channels integration.

Vudu has a free movies section.

The Prime Video app has "IMDb TV" which is free movies and TV.

Nova is a video player that will play videos from your local network.

Agree on crackle. Feels poorly designed

This site has a few. Of the ones listed and not already mentioned, these are on Android TV:

  • AMC (has free stuff now because COVID-19)
  • HBO Go or Now (has free stuff now because COVID-19)
  • Hoopla Digital
  • Kanopy
  • Plex
  • Sling
  • Vudu

There's also Filmrise.

Thanks for the suggestions! Xumo got uninstalled because most of the channels buffer for me after awhile. I don't know why. Pluto works great.

Crunchyroll for anime and Viki for Asian dramas

If you can get OTA reception and have a tuner, Live Channels allows you to watch your local channels and provides a free DVR for OTA TV. You can also use it as a unified interface for Pluto and Xumo (no recording for those).
