I don’t so much as have crashing, but I updated to Android TV 9 when I got My Mi Box S. I don’t know if it’s a software issue or it’s hardware issue but when starting from a sleep state, the sound comes on but then I have to wait a bit for the video to show up not only that but recently this just started where the screen will randomly go black with only sound. Another issue is with Hulu and the sound plays but the video pauses and then continues, I’m only able to cast Hulu and then I don’t have that issue while casting. I like that I can pair a PS4 or Xbox controller to play some games with. I hate that Android Tv can’t install some android apps without side loading them. I like the Live Tv where I can use my HDHOMERUN and it works well. But I don’t like size requirements for the HardDrive to record the Tv shows. The Mi Box S has a nice remote, I like that it is Bluetooth. The Mi Box S shows support for HDMI-CEC but it won’t turn the Tv on/off or change the volume either with the exception of the volume on the box. Maybe it’s just my Tv. I also can’t use my TV remote to pause or play any audio or video, considering they have the Chromecast Ultra built into them. I do like the Android Tv remote app but there’s no volume control that I’ve seen so far. As a work around you can always tell google assistant to change the volume for you. I’m not sure if it’s just dropping the internet connection, but randomly the tuner disconnected message pops up at the bottom of the screen over whatever you are doing.
Mi Box s. Constant crashes, freezing and audio stuttering. Bluetooth audio is a bit off too. In fact it's unusable. Lying in the corner an catching dust

I hardwired my mibox s, thinking the Bluetooth and wifi radios are interfering, causing playback issues. Nope, connecting Bluetooth earphones still broke playback.
