Okay so its been like 2 months since android 9 has came out for the mi box s and it was horrible, but since its been 2 months have they fixed anything? Is it finally safe to upgarde since when i Google it the only results i get is articales on how horrible it was.

Not using betas, out of box and update to 9, factory reset, works like a charm
Hey. Friends. Developers debugged version (r2582) but did not work in this version of HDMI CEC. I recorded the video instruction on YouTube. Now developers have issued a new version (r2603). Question Now HDMI CEC is working. How it works with Sleep Mod.
There has been substantial progress since the last publicly available build.
2 more beta builds have been disseminated but you will need to manually install them. Many existing issues have been resolved.
Check the responses about the last 2 beta builds in this forum to get a feel what would be acceptable to you.
I did the upgrade to 9 right out of the box, then factory reset the box, and have been using it for a bit. Other than Wi-Fi disconnecting on sleep (haven't figured that out yet), it's been a pleasant experience. 4K playback is smooth, even over Wi-Fi, the interface is snappy. I'm personally pleased.
