I would factory reset the device then try logging in.

I'm going to take a guess and say that you've not used the Google account on this TV for awhile, and not that you have come back to it, you are now suddenly discovering this problem.
Try checking which version of Android is running on your TV, if it's an 7.x or earlier version then it's no longer "supported" by Google, and depending on how early of a version you have, the things that you can do will be limited if not non-existent.
I've got some older Android devices which are in great shape, but the official OS is too old and the manufacturers haven't put out any updates, so I'm likely going to keep using them and eventually I guess I'm going to have to learn how to put an unofficial/generic version of an Android OS on them so I can keep using them.
You might try the system update function to see if there's an update, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
The lack of long term support from hardware makers is the only real complaint I have about Android devices, the versions update pretty frequently, and due to the low cost/profit the hardware makers have no real motivation to keep supporting "obsolete" devices, instead they want/expect you to just upgrade or buy the next new device.
Wish I had better news for you, but I don't.
