Amazon Music is Disabled

by Aero82

I'm an American living in Germany. We use ExpressVPN on our Shield for almost all our content. It works without a hitch except for the Amazon Music. The app consistently disappears and the only way to fix that is to search for it again and enable it again.

How do I prevent the app from becoming disabled?

Oh that's easy.. Just move back to the US.

Just kidding. As a Dutch guy living in the U.S I feel your pain. I've been using IPvanish for a while but Ithink it's probably related to the Amazon app and not your VPN (if I had to guess).
Maybe you could try a free VPN just to make sure it isn't related to the one you are using?
Good-luck.

Turn off location services and set your language to English US. It will then assume you're in the US.

I didn't think there was an amazon music app for android tv. This is new?

I normally just listen through my yamaha receiver app through surround system.

Can you check if Amazon prime video is working while this express VPN is running for you, play a video and it shouldn't say travelling mode .

My issue on Android TV was Amazon prime video would detect that a VPN app is running and so it wouldn't allow the video app to run.

If you have YouTube premium it would work as an alternative replacement to Amazon music .

If prime video app is working fine ( video playback) , only music app has issue then it perhaps is the app issue or some settings that's disabling your app..

Perhaps clear cache and data then uninstall and reinstall may fix this.

You could try running express VPN on laptop, then connectify app on laptop, and push the tunneled net to shield and see if that solved the issue.

And keep your location service off.
