Hello, I got lucky last week and managed to grab a 2019 Shield Pro when it briefly came into stock at Amazon. My first time with an Android streaming device. I'm in the process of setting it up. I installed VPN (both PIA and ExpressVPN because I wanted to try them both out side by side), then Kodi and the iPlayer App from the Kodi repository. Thing is, I can access and BBC iPlayer contents when I use a browser with either VPN, but when I try to use the Kodi iPlayer app I get a ‘connection aborted’ error. Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong, or is the iPlayer app in Kodi broken?
Have you tried using the Android TV BBC iPlayer app as well? I use it on my Shield in Canada and have no issues watching any of the content with my smart DNS service.
