Any videoconferencing/screen sharing apps that can run on Android TV?

by CuvisTheConqueror

So, with so many people shut in, and having recently found that my wife has never seen The Room, I was thinking of doing a virtual movie screening party. The easiest way to do it would be to use my Nvidia Shield to play the movie and stream it to others, but I am unsure if there are any apps available to facilitate that. Is there anything like Zoom or Webex that I can use, that will let me play a movie on the Shield and send it out to a video conference?

Zoom is one of the best for doing the all activities. Just sign up for free and use it for video conferencing, webinar, screen recording, yes you can record a screen and use it that recording in your future as well. Process for how to record screen in zoom is very simple to use.

The best option would be to stream to something like Twitch from a computer and view it on Android TV. I haven't found any Android TV app that can broadcast to a live stream. The closest I could find was an app called Vysor which mirrors the screen on a computer but to be usable, it's not free, it constantly crashed for me and overall it was a poor experience. To be fair, it's meant primarily for developers testing their apps.
