I've been looking for an android TV box so I was considering about the Mi Box S, so is it good and if anyone using it do you recommend me buying it?

I've had my $30 Mi Box S for about a week now and I love it. I must have 4,000 new channels to watch. My flash drive died while it was plugged in the Mi Box S - maybe the Mi Box S killed it?! or maybe it just died, it was a no-name cheap-o. It costs less than my Chromecast and has Chromecast built-in! I think everybody should get one; worst case you're out $30. I'd love to have a Nvidia Shield Pro, but they are so spendy! I do wish it had more internal storage capacity, but that's my only big complaint. I love how it connects to my shared folder that's on my Windows 10 laptop.
I'd recommend the Dish AirTV mini over the Mi Box. Its markedly faster. Pretty close to same price on ebay. Some people are put off by the fact that it boots straight into Sling, but you can turn that off (there's a post on xda on how to do that)
Get a notably faster - Streaming only - Air TV Mini or the Verizon Stream TV, both have more modern chipsets vs the old 2015/16 era Mi Boxes.
Downside = no USB
yes, it's a decent budget TV box. If you are unable to get all the apps on google app store you can try apkpure.
Bought my X2 by Ugoos (Amlogic S905x2) Cheap and nice software. Has SPDiF, USB 3.0 and LAN 1 GB, the only problem is no licences for Netflix and others, but for my IPTV, Youtube and videos is perfeсt
Mi box is perfectly adequate for a budget box.
I have two shields and a mibox and while it's not in the same league as the shield it is fine for a cheaper android TV device.
