New version of PVR Live 1.5.1 - the most complete Live Channels app

PVR Live streams Live TV and records programs from a number of sources. You get the same Live Channels user interface regardless if you are using Playlist/IPTV, Tvheadend or other - as a source.

Hey, thanks for all of your continued work on PVRLive. Just an FYI, I think closed captions may be broken since 1.5.0. On 1.4.6, they seemed to be working, but after updating to 1.5.0 (and 1.5.1) I'm unable to get closed captions to display.

Shame, i totally gave up on Live Channels a few months back. I currently use Kodi to tune in channels from my HDHomerun Prime, that and the $30 a year I pay for DVR use, the files are not locked to my device and can easily be edited.

Shame that closed captioning fails on both options. Always a long delay for live news or sporting events.

What's the most compatible IPTV service with PVR Live? (where "compatible" means I get proper channel listings and ideally EPG data)

So I downloaded on my Nvidia shield 2017. Paid for plus. Set up my m3u, all working fine.

But now every time I open the app it just goes to "About App" and will only let me go to Settings, Setup, Contribute or Licences. The app won't physically open.

Any ideas?

Very nice application, thank you. Now, I am not sure if this is something you are able to do, or whether this is an AndroidTV / Live Channels issue, but, is there any chance you can enable refresh rate switching? Kodi supports this, and allows me to switch to 50Hz for PAL (UK) TV automatically. The way I have to do it with your application is to use TVHZ, and do it manually, which isn't ideal.

Q on timeshifting for TVheadend backend

Suppose TVH recorded a show and now I'm playing it from Android TV Live Channel app. If I pause, which program is actually pausing? Is it TVH (backend)? Or is TVH continuously streaming but Live Channel app is pausing while recording the stream?

I'm trying to connect to my enigma2 box through transcoding port 8002 instead of webif port 80. Pvr live throws an error it couldn't connect. How can I achieve this?

If I connect to my webif port it imports my channels but they stay all black and won't open the stream.
