Android TV App "Key Mapper" can remap TV Remote hardware key events to a custom action. The aim of this project is to allow anyone to make any button they use with their Android device do whatever they want.
You can combine multiple remote keys to form a "trigger" and have as many triggers as you want for each action. You can make a key map only work on a long press as well.
E.g. you can remap NETFLIX button to Amazon Video or Google Play button to any other App store...

Permissisons: The app will tell you if a permission needs to be granted for a feature to work.
There is NO GUARANTEE any of these buttons will work and this app isn't designed to control games. Your device's OEM/vendor can prevent them from being remapped.
