Extend disk space

by nasht00

I have a Mi Box S, with AndroidTV 9.

I plugged a 1TB USB external drive. When prompted, I allowed to format the disk to be used by AndroidTV.

Now, how do I know that it worked, and what does it mean?

Using a file explorer, I no longer see my external drive, I only see "Local". But how do I know if I really have 1TB now instead of 5GB?

Is only one specific directory mounted in the external drive? If so which one?

Using the app "AIDA64", I still see 5GB under "internal storage".

EDIT: It seems to be "working" since I've just tried to upload (I use the ftp server app) large movie files to the Movies folder and it did not complain. Still I'm not comfortable with the "vodoo" aspect of this. Where are my files? How do I know if something is in the external drive or the internal drive?

Try downloading xplore file explorer and that will have the sort of info you want to know about hard drive sizes etc, and also a good programme to activate the media server share ftp too...

The "voodoo" your talking about when it comes to space issues on the MiBox made me sell it.
