Hello,
I recently bought a HD HomeRun Duo for Europe channels DVT-T/T2 ( France ). I use it on my international version of the Xiaomi Mi Box 3 running on Oreo firmware (8.0) on official Android TV .
After having everything installed perfectly, I noticed :
- Some micro-stutters on every channels. Is there a way (option for instance) not to have those micro lags ?
- Refresh rate seems not to be 50 Hz (as it is in France), but more 25 Hz... My box is set to 1080p/50Hz in display settings. For sports event it's highly noticable when you switch between the TV cabled vs. the Mi Box using HD HomeRun (cabled, I do not use it with an antenna). So does the HDHR is able to display 1080i/50 Hz channels on a Xiaomi Mi Box (Android TV) ?
Thank you for you answers.
ALL AMLogic chipset based devices running the - Android OS - are USELESS if you want high quality, full motion 50/60fps, reliable deinterlacing from interlaced sources like Broadcast TV and old DVD's.
You end up with stuttering h264 or blocky dull mpeg2 deinterlacing (yes it is dull & blocky compared to what regular TV's can do)
AMLogic have to fix such problems in the underlying Firmware, plus Google's EXOplayer would likely need tweaking. (h264 deinterlacing does not work properly on Amazon FireTV devices either)
Because virtually all AMLogic Chipset devices are use as Progressive Video streaming platforms they have not bother for years now to fix it. In fact I don't think deinterlacing will ever get fixed.
Your options:
- a Nvidia Shield
- a cheap AMLogic S9xx Chipset device running the - Linux - based CoreELEC OS:
