I just bought a 55 inch Bravia x950g and from a network, WiFi connectivity perspective this TV is a buggy mess. Is that typical for Android TVs these days, or should I look to replace this thing?

i use lan so no problem for me
0 issues on my 65x900f or buddies 55x950g on WiFi. Have you tried a factory reset?
My x950g has all sorts of audio issues to avr, but network connectivity been fine. The only thing that threw me was I originally was using wired. When I tried switching to wireless it kept giving me error that it couldn't find network. Come to find out it can't connect to a wlan unless cable unplugged.
I think once you get network figured out, youll come to appreciate other frustrations of sony/androidtv. 😅
Search r/bravia and you'll see comments mentioning flakey WiFi. If at all possible use a physical cable.
