Bravia no longer responding to remote

Hi All,

Not sure if this is the right place for this post.

I have a Sony Bravia KD65X8500D.

It no longer responds to tv remotes.

I have tried 3 new remotes all of which operate other tvs just fine.

I am currently using a phone app to control the TV over wifi and am reluctant to do a factory reset resulting in no internet connection.

There is no way I can see to access the menu without a remote.

Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on what this could be?

I’m hoping it’s not the RF sensor.

Try connecting pc-mouse to tv. Go to bluetooth settings and manually connect remote to tv (if there is BT)

Probably ir is broken. Do factory reset just in case and contact place where you purchased tv for warranty(if warranty is still valid).

Gamepads (like 8bitdo's) connected via bluetooth can work with menus.

I believe the Bravia remote's microphone connects via bluetooth. So make sure bluetooth is enabled.

Factory Reset it and see if that helps, if it doesn't, it is likely physical.

Thank you very much for the tips guys, tried a factory reset, paired the remote which worked with voice but no other commands. Looks like the rf sensor
