Remapping button to HDMI (Philips).

by SatanHauntsYou

So i found this post, https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/95r1q5/remap_android_tv_remote_button_possible_sony/

And Philips also has an api but not for HDMI afaik. So there is an ADB command on windows/linux which performs it, but thats quite a hassle. (Since i’d need a pc 24/7 running to use that). Is there an easy way to remap it? Using the tv only?

Edit: I have a temporary solution with my raspberry pi (it executes the adb shell on http callback)

Have you tried the button mapper app? It works for me on my Philips tv, I used it to remap a useless button for a service I don’t use to open the Plex app instead. So now I have quick launch buttons for Netflix and Plex on my remote. Not sure if button mapper has options for hdmi stuff but it’s worth a look

SatanHauntsYou , what did you exactly do on your raspberry pi to make it work?

I'm trying to map a hdmi port as well but no clue how to do it. At the moment I only remapped Rakuten TV button to Prime Video (Short, Double and Long press). But it only works with short press. If I press it long it still opens Rakuten TV.
