i have android live channels app connected with dvr live iptv app.
on my sony android tv remote, if i enter channel number, the channel opens using pvrlive instead of android live channels app.
is there any way to make it open via android live channels app?
when i press tv guide button on remote and select channel, i have made it to open via android live channels app
Have you tried the Android TV remote app on your phone? Not sure if you will have any different result from your physical remote on a Smart TV but give it a try. On my Shield TV, the Android TV remote app (as well as the Shield TV remote app) allows inputting channel numbers in the keyboard to change channels in Live Channels.
The integrated Live channels application is a real garbage (it doesn't support categories groups etc.) and using any app that have Live Channels dependency is useless.
Check for TiviMate app, it's better in any aspect.
i dont want to use tivimate. i know its a great app but it doesn't fit my needs.
i use normal tv remote and tv channels integrated with android live channels.
my iptv app is pvr live app and i have this linked to android live channels app
On my NVidia Shield, I use my TV Remote through HDMI-CEC, which allows you to change the channel in the live channel app via the number pad. It doesn't work when you're in the guide, but just when you're outside of the menus. If you press a button a menu will pop up on the left that shows you every channel and their callsign that starts with that number.
I don't know what IPTV client you're using, but that sounds like it is interfering with the Live Channels app.
