Hi!
So, I got a mibox a week ago and I must say after some tweaking it works really well.
The first thing that annoyed me was the fact that if you shut the box down with the remote or with Google home I you can't cast to it any more.
My fix was to side load an awesome app called wake lock revamped, with that I made the cpu and WiFi never to go to sleep which solved the problem. I can now turn it off and its still avaliable for casting and voice commands.
I had some troubles with the WiFi dropping which I solved with setting static ip and turning off turning off WiFi energy saving in the developer settings.
My only issue left is that I can't get Google home to cast netflix. I get the " sure, playing witcher from netflix on your tv" but nothing else happens. YouTube and other apps work great, it just netflix that's acting up.
Is there any one who have an idea on what I could try?
Edit: my best tip for side loading apps is to use an app called "Send files to tv" it's free, light and easy to use. You of course need a file manger on the android tv box but there is plenty to choose from.
Using google assistant to cast netflix is a known issue with all android tv boxes. We're at google's whim as to if/when they're going to actually fix it.
