Hey guys!

I have a this Samsung remote for my TV:

As I understand, it's not possible to set the Xiaomi remote to turn the TV on and off. So I tried to set the Samsung remote to control the Mi Box by enabling HDMI-CEC. It actually worked OK, but I still have two problems I wondered if you could help me solve:

  1. The Samsung remote turns of the Mi box if I turn off the TV, but then when I turn the TV back on, it doesn't turn on the Mi Box, and the only way to turn it on is through its original remote. Anybody knows if there's a way to fix that?
  2. almost all of the buttons are identical between the TV remote and the xiaomi remote, however, there's one crucial button missing - The circle button that sends you back to the main menu. Anybody knows of there's some kind of replacement for it, or a different way to get back to main menu?

Thank you!

Xiaomi remote can power ON both Mi Box S and TV via HDMI-CEC, and that works for my Toshiba TV. However, the other way around, using TV remote to power ON Mi Box S via HDMI-CEC does not work for me either.

What does the "Home" button on the Samsung TV Remote do?

I see the same behaviour with the on/off with the Samsung remote. I figure it's not the end of the world to power on the Mibox with its remote.

With regard to the circle button, that seems to be crucial on the mi box, but I managed to keep using the back button on the Samsung remote to get to the main menu.

My next experiment is to get a USB to 4mm DC jack to see if one of the USB ports will power the MiBox, so I can hide it behind the TV.
