Sony Bravia TV Always needs to 'Boot Up' Everytime I Turn It On

by Slaskwroclaw18

I have an x930e which in the past when I turned off it would, I assume, go to sleep. So when I turned it on it would start up right away or if I asked Google Assistant it would turn the TV on. Now, I assume after some update, when I turn it on with the remote it will go through the Android boot screen which takes about 30 seconds. Also I am unable to turn on the TV with Google Assistant (device is unavailable). Screensaver is set to sleep so is there a setting I am missing?

Same issue. It never used to, but after an update it started ignoring my power settings. Now almost every time it needs to boot up.

Had this with my X850E after it updated to Oreo.

Had 2 new motherboards installed by Sony, problem still persisted.

They just sent me a brand new X850G as a replacement. Get on to customer service and push them for a replacement.

Just chiming in to say that I am also having this exact same issue. It started with my Philips TV about 4-ish days ago.

Edit: Following up to say that for me the problem was a Bluetooth sound bar that I had connected to the TV. For whatever reason a bunch of problems with the TV started happening (including the full boot up each time I turned it on). As soon as I disconnected the sound bar and plugged it in via aux, everything started working again.

i dont know if you found what fixed it, but for me it was a hard drive plugged in by usb to watch movies. Unplugged it and now it seems to be ok. Not going to lie though, these smart tv seem to have issue after issue, the only one i havent had issue with is my LG one. I have a sony and samsung as well, they always have issues.
