YouTube frequently has an audio delay for a few seconds at the start of videos on my Sony TV

by Briank266

It will work perfectly fine most of the time, but then randomly if will not play the audio at the start of the video till about 3 seconds in. On some videos it's an entire sentence I miss when the video starts before the audio decides to join in. And once it gets in this "funk" it will do this for every single video indefinitely until I hard reset the tv by holding the power button for about 5 seconds.

I notice it does it more when I'm switching inputs and watching other stuff, then going back to YouTube, that's when it starts, but I have no idea why. It only does this with YouTube. I've been dealing with it by just rebooting the TV every time it happens, but it's starting to drive me crazy and I'd love it to be fixed for good. Thanks. It's a Sony xbr900e

Is there a soundbar in the equation?

Also, does the issue happen on "Smart YouTube TV" and other apps as well?

Disconnect your power cable for two minutes.

I'm very interested in this thread. I have several issues with my soundbar and my Sony TV as well. This delay sometimes happens. Others as well. I'll try to elaborate more later when my toddler isn't screaming in my face.
