Philips Android TV 55OLED854 - Thermometer icon on screen

by gevreyc

On my new Philips TV, running Android TV, I have noticed today after a couple of weeks of normal functioning that while watching a cartoon streamed from a NAS (Network source) a thermometer icon was appearing on the top right corner of the screen. After a while it even started to flash (the upper red part).

I get it, it must be saying that something is overheating. I checked the front (screen) and the back of the TV: nothing felt excessively hot, just a bit warm. The TV is not in a closet, there's flowing air all around.

Besides switching off the TV (obvious) - is there anything I should do? What could be the cause?
What is the worst case scenario if I ignore that warning, the TV will shut down?

Do you have a nest thermostat maybe Android TV rolled out an update to show the temperature of you house. If you've sideloaded any apps then delete them cause they may be the cause.
