I just got a Fire TV stick for the purpose of watching Apple TV+ and couldn’t help but notice that the included Prime Video app is so much nicer than the Play Store Android TV one. Any possibility to get it to work on my Sony TV? I couldn’t even find the appropriate APK download...
To be honest, I don't think you will ever see this on Android TV. I understand where you're coming from, as Prime Video app on Android TV is kind of crap, but I believe Amazon does this on purpose, so that people that want Prime Video choose Fire TV devices instead.
Considering that there's an official Prime Video Android TV app already, I really doubt anyone will try to adapt the Fire TV version. It's a shame because it would be nice to have the same integration on Android TV. The difference is not even close, Prime Video app on Fire TV devices is unbelievably better, but I understand why Amazon does this. So, it is what it is.
