You can use AnyDesk with adcontrol app, it will ask you to install when opening anydesk. You also need to give yourself permissions and set up a password so you can remote control it. Just tested on nvidia shield tv 2017 android 9.
I believe TeamViewer supports Android TV now. Give it a try. Great free remote desktop tool.

This similar to vysor, in my use case it's better. You can VPN to your router and access your shield with this.
The question is what do you want to do with your shield remotely?
