For those of you berating this box for lack of ethernet, know that I have a USB GigE connected to mine without a single issue. As I was unwilling to go 3-figures for the Shield, I cannot say enough good things about this box - I have not a single regret for choosing it to replace my old Fire TV stick, for apps as well as PVR-via-Kodi.
Now, if only Google could get their marbles together to get "Live Channels" working on Android TV as well as Pluto and Amazon have done. The author of https://github.com/kiall/android-tvheadend has done an EXCELLENT job presenting TVHeadend to Live Channels; it's just too bad that Live Channels' interface isn't a good fit for very large pools of streaming channels. Kodi as a PVR just does it orders of magnitude better.

And I just bought mine 2 weeks ago!
Oh how I wish I could order this in Canada. Any place I have looked online is going to be close to double that price.
I bought this, can anyone confirm this can play 1080p/4k x265 10bit movie/tv show Encodes without lag VIA USB port ? like 1gb-10gb range or even 20gb files?
Thanks, cheapest I’ve seen and I already own but I bought one anyway..extra, present or whatever, couldn’t resist. Lol
great pickup as a spare or if no need for a Ethernet
At that price, I was/is really tempted. I already have the original Mi box connected to a bedroom TV. I also have an Nvidia Shield that I rarely use and a Jetstream sitting a drawer. I am addicted to these inexpensive Android boxes.
This box any good? My rule of thumb is only go with Roku and Nvidia Shield.
If it only had Ethernet, I'd be in. My thinking is if it doesn't move, it should be hard wired.
