Super 4 X55 owner here. I have a Vizio sound bar hooked up to the TV via optical audio. The settings within the TV stick, but no matter what, I always have to hard power down the TV and make sure the sound bar is on before using the Television. Otherwise the sound bar doesn't work at all.
Also, does anyone have issues with the built-in Hulu app? It will get all the way to playing media and then crash. I've done everything including a hard reset, and have no luck.

All other settings should be set to "off" or zero "0".
Any individual R,G, or B color subcontrols, if present, should remain at their default settings.
Ditch Optical/Toslink and use ARC HDMI instead. Doing this will turn your soundbar on when you turn your TV on. To use ARC HDMI you must use the ARC labeled ports on both the TV and soundbar.
It will also allow you to use your TV remote to change the volume directly on the soundbar.
There is a slight ‘bug’ with the volume controls tho. The TV has, I believe, 100 steps, whereas a Vizio soundbar only has 30 steps. So your TV will only go up to 30 but 30 is actually 100%.
Despite its normal superiority in other applications, Optical/Toslink is an inferior solution when compared to HDMI Audio in TVs.
As for Hulu, yea it’s busted. You can go into setting and uninstall updates for the app. That should get it working again. Just make sure to turn off automatic updates in the play store.
I had one of these a couple years back. The price for an official Android TV system was very appealing and so was the sleek, thin design. The UI was buggy at times though and would freeze up. After ~2 months the screen developed a flicker that worsened rapidly. I had to return it and ended up getting a refund as the store no longer stocked it.
