I can confirm you Firestick Remote work with Mi box S .
Yes the voice button on the fire remote activate the google assistant on the android tv . I received my Mi Box this afternoon and paired it and for now everything work good except one thing , if you press volume up/down on the fire remote , its modify volume on the android Os and soundbar at the same time , need to find a way to disable volume in android tv or to leave it at MAX and never move. ( To configure the firestick temote Press home button for 15 sec then go in bluetooth setting and search for AR device)

Have they updated the MiBox software yet? Apparently I heard the new update is going to have PrimeVideo
The new fire TV remote doesn't work at all with Mi Box S. It successfully pairs, but none of the buttons work, except for power and volume up/down which are IR commands.
