If you can't set it in the TV, consider doing it in your router (DHCP server). Most modern CPE's nowadays support assigning specific MAC adresses specific IP adresses..
Download the Google Android TV remote app, that has a keyboard.
Download the Android TV remote from the Playstore.
Did you click it?
If you are using a wireless keyboard remove the usb dongle from mi tv box and the keyboard will appear.
Assign an IP with your router by using the MAC address. That way you can keep your Mi Box DHCP and it will still always pick up the same IP since your router will assign it the number you programmed in.
If you ever change routers, your Mi Box will work fine with the new one because it's still DHCP and will pick up a random IP.
There's no keyboard because you can't manually set the IP on the device itself.
You'll need to do it in your router's UI. Look up the manual for your router to figure out how to do this. Usually you can login via browser at 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
Look under DHCP settings. You can use MAC binding to permanently assign a static IP address to your Mi Box's MAC address, just need to figure out what that Mac address is and you should be able to do that by looking under current/active DHCP licenses.
Try connecting a real keyboard to the USB port
