A Beautiful and High def UI like this is enough reason for me to Migrate from Google Play Movies to Apple TV. Seriously is Google doing anything to make Google Play Movies better in all ways for it's dedicated fans? Saddens me I already own this movie on Google. 🤦🏽‍♂️

One thing I don't like with Google is the lack of multiple audio language. If I want to buy for example a Pixar movie for my kid, then I want it in Swedish. If I then want to see it in original language by myself I have to buy the movie again, paying the same full price.

Why can't a movie include the original language? Or at least be able to buy extra languages for a much smaller fee.

Is this possible with Apple?

I switched to Apple tv for several reasons. Google has a lot to figure out, imo.

If you already have movies on google play then link your Apple and Google accounts at Movies Anywhere.

Android TV also uses a 1080p only user interface, which has to be upscaled to 4K, and we know the Shields have crap upscaling. The 2019 Shields AI upscaling is not going to help upscaling the 1080p GUI.

Apple TV 4K uses a 4K GUI, and yes it makes a difference the bigger the TV you use for viewing. Everything look sharper. There simply is a lot more bling.

Apple’s iTunes has a much bigger selection of affordable 4K HDR DolbyVision Atmos, rental content available as well vs the competition. Hell I cannot even get 4K HDR from Google Movies on the Mi Box or Shield. Let alone DV or Atmos.

John Wick 3 looks absolutely spectacular in 4K DolbyVision on the ATV 4K. ;D

The UI makes the movie look better?

The Google Play movies app is pretty sad. I’ve got an appletv too, and the movies I have on that is the only thing keeping me from switching 100% to my Nvidia shield. Movies anywhere only does so much :(

Maybe the new play store ui will get googles head out of the clouds when it comes to their native apps. Because that new ui is beautiful!

Apple TV got better UI for sure, but even as an Apple supporter for more than 10 years, I still prefer Android TV than Apple TV. I don’t really use Google Play Movies tho. Just that Apple TV is way to limited for those that mainly watch contents stored on NAS or similar. I found iOS pretty OK with its balanced limitations and security, but not the same when it comes to Apple TV.
