I had a 32 GB SanDisk flash drive attached too my Nvidia shield tv as internal storage and after the device had an update a while back the device corrupted my flash drive and the shield no longer recognized it as a storage device and now i cant even insert it into Windows to format the drive im getting not Recognized error .
does anyone have any idea how i can save the Drive im not worried about recovering data i just want to be able to format the drive to use it in my Mibox4 or shield .
Plug it into your Windows computer. Open up Disk Management and delete the partitions from there. Then add a new partition with default settings.
I have the same problem with one of my USB pen drives. An expensive Samsung 128 GB USB 3 micro pendive. I have tried everything to bring it back to life, but after the Nvidia Shield marked it as read only, it is a paperweight.....
I have tried Windows Disk management tools, tried fdisk (or something like that) using a Dos window..... Still no help......
Tried using Linux, and Android, nothing can break that stupid read only flag that the Nvidia Shield put on it.............
Or perhaps, it just died, since it quit working on the Shield.
MiniTool Partition Wizard for Windows. It will even let you clone from another working flash drive.
get a new one for $3, not worth the time. This is common problem with Sandisk products.
