When you have to put passwords that contains numbers, symbols and letters low case uppercase is the best option.
just keep the left/right button pressed .. no need to clickclickclickclick
Nobody gonna mention OP’s spending money on that movie? Jk, I saw it. It’s great at what it is
Android Tv is actually need T9 keyboard option.
Haha. No. My Philips tv remote has full keyboard on the back for that.
That is awful. My Android TV has a QWERTY.
I only seen this shitty soft keyboard on xiaomi mi box. is that the device, op?
This is but 1 of the reasons why I use SwiftKey in conjunction with the physical keyboard on my Rii air mouse.
This is what happens when you employ people whom you've forced to grind leetcode for hundreds of hours to then design the user experience. The UX across virtually all Google products has showstopping bugs like this. They need to employ people who suck at algorithms, but are awesome at UX. Like literally pass on UX candidates who are too good at math or algorithms.
For people without android phones, there is no option to use the keyboard on your phones.
I use this one. The layout is much more compact, and it also lets you remap keys on a remote or physical keyboard.

The keyboard on my HiSense is like this, but not on my Sony. I think the OS flavor, modified or stock, determines which keyboard. While I hate all the overlay junk that Sony puts on top of ATV, I do appreciate that they try to keep things like this simple. You'll get used to this layout and breeze through it the next time your TV factory resets during an update.
Don't complain. That keyboard use to be far worse. Btw the keyboard is only like that when you need to put in a password. Don't try to mislead people into thinking that it's like that all the time.
You can get a pretty cheap Bluetooth keyboard on Amazon or a local store
I believe you're using gboard. You can switch to the leanback keyboard which offers a tighter layout.
This is why I got a TV remote with a build in keyboard
sony, have you meet my friend the shiftkey
android tv remote apk
Would it be possible just to get a little Bluetooth keyboard?
Good ux designers
That is why I never install updates to my GBoard.
I like to use the Android TV app on my phone for typing in almost anything. That or Harmony app can do it too if you've got Harmony by chance.
