Hi guys,
I hope this question is ok to post here, since it brushes the topic of AndroidTV only in one small detail, but here goes:
So I have this Sony KD-55XG8505 ( Specs ).
This TV is used in conjunction with these loudspeakers ( Nubert nuPro A-10 ). <- via the TVs headphone out.
The thing is, before I had the TV, I used the loudspeakers on my laptop via USB, which was awesome.
Now AndroidTV seems to not support those loudspeakers via USB, which is sad.
The question now is (since I don't really want to use the headphone out, subjectively it sounds worse than the USB):
can I use the digital optical audio out of the TV and use a digital-to-analog converter to transmit the audio to the loudspeakers? Would it sound better than the headphone out?
Or should I use a bluetooth transmitter?
Or should I stay with headphone out? :(
The loudspeakers do not have a remote or similar. They do both have a volume knob but it would be a pain to control them that way, since I would have to turn the knob on either loudspeaker.
I am really looking forward to your feedback, thanks.
Edit: sorry about the manual for the loudspeakers being German, I couldn't find an English one.
100%
Although i'm kinda surprised that Android TV doesn't support digital passthrough, meanwhile on your mobile you can easily do that. I have 2 DACs, i will confirm / deny this for you.

have you check this? Maybe the speak shows up at the audio output?
