Woohoo!!! :D
Welp, here it is, November 12... and I try to install Disney+ on my Shiny, New Android TV box running Oreo... and it's not listed in Google Play. Hmmm....
So I hop onto my PC, hit Google Play, and sure enough, it's listed. But when I try to install it only my Android TV box, it says that my device isn't compatible.
Anyone else having the same issue?
Installing from web playstore worked for the att now osprey boxes surprisingly!
They apparently only released it in the Netherlands for testing. I'm surprised they didn't give to everyone and make it full of trailers to test it out better. I'm guessing a server crash or two when everyone downloads it at the same time.
I tried to harvest it from my Nvidia Shield and installing it on my Mi Box S that's on the Android 9 beta but it wouldn't install. Anyone get it to install?
Could install via the play store web app on my Pixelbook, Nvidia shield but not mi box S. Ugh probably the beta. Beta also broke Chromecast functionality for me. Anyone else?
Still waiting until they release it on Mi Box
I got it installed last night but I couldn't tell if it was in 4k or not..
To my naked eye it seemed grainier in the Android TV app vs a Chromecasted version on my Chromecast ultra but my tv button for info telling me resolution and bit rate is disabled in the app but Chromecast ultra does show 4k
The Android TV app has very little in settings and options.
Edit: I am on sony Bravia x900e
my 2 year old Sony TV is apparently not compatible with it
Expect a ton of hiccups. This is only the beginning
