If I am watching something on Live Channels or my Plex on my Shield TV... and someone rings my doorbell. What happens?
Does the shield automatically switch apps and show me my front door? Does it open up a picture in picture with my front door camera?
Well firstly, if you migrated your Nest account to google, your shit outta luck cause it no longer functions.
If thats not an issue, when it does actually functioned, a little pop up in the upper right corner showed up that read "someone rang the door bell" or whenever happened. If you selected it, it takes you to the nest app although by the time it actually loaded the feed the person probably already left. If you don't, it will the notification will disappear after a while.
I was able to say "play on the Shield" to my Nest Hub Max and it casted its video stream to the Shield. I think similar streaming may work with its other camera devices, but it may not be automatic.
Doesn't work at all since the Google account migration. Can't say I recall my shield switching to the Hello though prior to that.
