Are you able to stream content from a usenet server? Everything Ive ever done involves downloading a file in parts and recombining them on the client end, hence, not sure this would work for streaming. If you have a NAS or spare PC with storage though, you can certainly setup some really nice automation to grab tv shows, movies, music, etc from usenet then stream them using Plex :) Personally my "combo" is Plex (streaming) + Sonarr (TV Shows) + Radarr (Movies), then you need a usenet server and an indexer. Not sure if I can make recommendations on those in this sub.
