Best Android TV box with Analog Outputs

by sivartk

What is the best Android TV box with analog outputs that will send a 4:3 signal to a 4:3 TV? I've tried a Roku with a HDMI --> Composite converter but all that does is squeeze the 16:9 image into a 4:3 image making it unwatchable. So, I'm ditching the Roku idea.

Curious if there are any Android TV boxes that can output a 4:3 signal. It is on a TV in the bedroom so I mainly just need the Plex app and YouTube would be nice too. I don't need any paid apps on that TV. Ideally it would have composite output and Ethernet, but I could live without Ethernet.

Yes, there are many options, I can advise you to see yourself a suitable SwitchOnShop tv box. I ordered everything from them not so long ago. It turned out by the way not bad, and in terms of prices there is a complete order, but then see for yourself all

As far as I know the only ATV devices certified by Google with composite outputs are the Mecool KM3, Mecool KM8, Mecool KM9 Pro and KM9 Pro Classic, I think the Ematic Jetstream also has composite output but they don't have a setting to change the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3, they will output a fixed 16:9 aspect ratio.

Roku has TVs that are cheaper than a Shield. Might wanna consider that instead.

Are there any devices that will output at 480i? Or do I need to find a Raspberry Pi and just build my own? The KM8 wouldn't output 480i to my TV. I tried 2 known working cables and both inputs on the TV with no success.
