Kind of off topic question. My buddy wants to upgrade and sell his 2017 to me. Is $80 a good deal for the box and remote (2017)? He has the gaming controller but wants to keep it since there isn't a new one.
Anyone else disappointing with the Shield TV Pro? Being that the current one uses a 5 year old SOC I really would have expected the performance to be 2-3x the current one for the $200 price, not simply 25% faster. The remote also looks terrible.
Yes the Shield TV gets some of the best support of any device on the market, I just expected more at the $200 price point. Maybe users are paying a lot for the Dolby Vision use not sure.
Not Available from any other retailers yet unfortunately. I wonder when they'll go live?
Price on the new remote is surprisingly reasonable compared to the previous two. Definitely buying one when available. So tired of my kids failing to charge our current one.
Since HDR isn't supported on YouTube does this mean it also isn't supported on Google Play Movies?
Why can't they add support for audio passthrough to an app or the remote. I'm not giving up my Roku in the bedroom until that happens.
The AI upscaling doesn’t work for 60fps video
that's really disappointing
What is the performance difference between the 2015 and 2019 edition?
Also I thought the TV does upscale 1080P to 4K if you have a 4K TV?
Like I already said: the remote locator apk showed up installed in my 2017 2 updates ago, of course it would be sold separately.
I ordered 20 for work. Hopefully come in this week.
Remote sold separately? Really?
Debating jumping off the apple tv 4k train for one of these. Anyone else pondering the same move?
Does anyone know if the remote will be backwards compatible? I really hate the remote on my model (2017).
