Shot in the dark here but I'm hoping someone can help me... my kids lost the remote for this TV, its literally no where to be found :( you cant even turn the TV on without the remote!! Universal remotes not working and Android TV remote app not working either as the TV is not on/connected to wifi. Any suggestions guys? What a poor design to not allow basic power on from the TV itself!! Thanks in advance.
For anyone else, you can find these remotes on aliexpress for pretty cheap. Definitely worth it to pick up an extra one - just in case.
If your phone has an IR blaster, you can try to control it with the app "Mi Remote controller".

Have you tried a phone app?
If you have a newer Fire TV with a remote that has volume buttons, this TV is controllable from that remote, at least for power and volume.
This is obviously way too late but there is an Android TV remote app in the Google Play store that at least gives you the basic arrows, and home/back functionality. There's no way to adjust the volume on it, though. You'd have to use an external sound system.
According to page 14 of this PDF version of the manual , there's an on/off toggle hidden to the right of the power plug.
